A complete experience designed to immerse you in the Palio di Siena through some of its most authentic moments: from discovering the city and attending a Trial Race, to the traditional Contrada Dinner and finally the Palio on August 16, experienced from a distinctive grandstand position in the Fonte Gaia area.

AUGUST 14 – SIENA & TRIAL RACE

Guided Tour of Siena
In the afternoon, a guided tour will introduce you to Siena, its history and its traditions.

Trial Race – Casato Balcony
Later in the day, you will attend the Trial Race from a balcony in the Casato area, offering a striking view of Piazza del Campo and of the horses and jockeys as they pass along the track.

AUGUST 15 – CONTRADA DINNER

In the evening, you will take part in the traditional Cena della Prova Generale (Contrada Dinner), hosted by one of Siena’s Contrade. Long tables bring together Contrada members and guests in the streets and squares of the Contrada, creating a unique atmosphere of celebration, tradition and anticipation for the day of the Palio.

AUGUST 16 – PALIO

Palio – Fonte Gaia Grandstand
In the afternoon, you will attend the Palio from a grandstand position in the Fonte Gaia area, experiencing the atmosphere of Piazza del Campo up close while watching the Historical Parade (Corteo Storico) and the different stages of the event from a close-up perspective. The grandstand does not have restroom facilities and does not provide food or beverage service. We therefore recommend using the bars, cafés and restroom facilities available near Piazza del Campo before reaching your viewing position. You must reach the grandstand by 4:30 PM. Once the Historical Parade has begun, you will not be able to leave the grandstand until the Palio has ended.

PLAN YOUR STAY

As the first activity takes place on the afternoon of August 14, we recommend arriving in Siena by the morning of August 14, or preferably the previous day.

The Palio may be postponed due to rain or if track conditions do not allow the event to take place. For this reason, we recommend planning your stay to include at least the two days following August 16. If the Palio is postponed, your ticket will remain valid until the Palio is actually held.

Important: the other activities included in the package – Trial Race, Contrada Dinner and guided tour – are scheduled exclusively for the dates and times indicated and will not be rescheduled in the event of cancellation or if they cannot take place. The Complete Palio Experience can only be purchased for an even number of participants (2, 4, 6, 8...) and the price is calculated per pair of participants.
